Anik Fleet
Canada's "little brothers"...in Space
In the Inuit dialect, Anik means "little brother" and our fixed satellite service (FSS) satellites are prefaced with this name in tribute to the native people of the Americas.
Telesat launched its first satellite, Anik A1, in 1972. The Anik F3 satellite was launched on April 9, 2007, and is providing a wide range of broadcasting, business communications, and Internet services to users across North America.
